Where we work

Bangladesh

Meridian East Energy is exploring solar power and the potential of clean hydrogen in Bangladesh, with every proposal shaped by local conditions and the approvals it requires.

Starting with local requirements

A suitable proposal must respond to local conditions. Land availability, infrastructure, energy demand, environmental effects and community interests all need to be considered together.

Solar power and clean hydrogen

Solar generation needs to be assessed against the land, grid and demand of a particular location. Hydrogen proposals require additional work on electricity supply, water, storage, transport, safety and intended users. No technology should be treated as suitable before those questions have been examined.

Current stage

Our work in Bangladesh is exploratory. We are not presenting a completed plant or an approved construction programme. Confirmed proposals will be published with their stage and supporting information.

Power for livelihoods

For a tailor, a shopkeeper or a farmer, dependable electricity can mean longer working hours, better tools and more secure income. Clean energy that is also affordable can make that difference last.
